About Us
Founded in 1980 by a volunteer Board of Directors, Agape Table was established to serve free hot meals to people in the inner city. 30 years later, Agape Table still serves a hot meal at the breakfast hour without qualification or judgement.
Agape Table is a Community Nutrition Centre.
Today, Agape Table offers so much more than emergency food. Our subsidized breakfast and Grocery Cooperative offer our community members access to the nutrition that they choose. Our Agape Table for Kids program offers market quality produce to families in need. Our art, craft, and music circles are teeming with creative energy.
At Agape Table we believe there is hope in nutrition, there is dignity in choice, and there is power in food.
Community members of Agape Table are single parents, the working poor, expecting mothers, unemployed, children, seniors, people with disabilities, and other people who desire access to nutrition. Supporters of Agape Table are the community partners that make that access possible.

Funding Sources
Agape Table is supported by the private donations of individuals, organizations, religious groups, associations, businesses, and foundations. At this time, Agape Table does not receive financial support from government.
